Handy for caching on the go, way more user friendly than adding caches onto a gps unit. Still hoping theyll add a date adjust for when you log a cache since I dont always log my finds on the same day.

This used to be a good app before the upgrade. There was a one-time fee which was reasonable. Now they expect you to pay 9 bucks a month, otherwise you can only view a small fraction of the geocaches. Geocaching is supposed to get people outdoors, exploring nature and having some family fun. These fees make it inaccessible to the masses and pretty much ruins the whole concept. Greedy!

Still trying to navigate my way around the new look and find it difficult to find things compared to the old app but were getting there

I dont understand the negative reviews. I have had very few issues. The coordinate compass is off and throws me in circles when Im really close sometimes, but that could just as easily be an issue with my phone.

Good app - sometimes crashes, there is something to adjust but cool!

I initially downloaded this as an activity for me and my granddaughter. But now its turned into a full-time activity for me and my wife. We set aside time during the week to go out searching for caches. This app gets us outside into nature we spend time with one another we really really enjoy this app, we have upgraded to the premium level Ive bought a T-shirt and Im working on hiding my first cache. Its not often I download an app that me and my wife actually use on a weekly basis. We love it!!!!

Updating your app will only make people resubmit their 1 star ratings. Most caches are behind a paywall now. I already bought the "classic" app. Why did you get rid of it? Do the right thing and reinstate it. In the meantime Ive changed all my hidden caches to be 1.5 or less so everyone can see them. Everyone else should do the same thing!

My review for this app will stay at one star until the features I paid $10 for with the app are put back in the app. Originally there was a free app with limited capabilities and this app for $10 with full capabilities. Then they switched to this in a buy-a-membership money grab and I want my money back or to be grandfathered in to a membership.

When did this become an expensive subscription. I paid the full paid app which wasnt cheap. Geocache is nothing without the members. Nothing

Fun for the family

I downloaded this version of the app and deleted the paid app, only to find out that I cant access 90% of caches because I dont have a premium membership. With more and more cachers using their phones instead of traditional GPS devices, this seems like a foolproof way to drive away players. Thanks, Geocaching!

First, kudos for improving the basic app. For that, 3 stars. Great app for dumbing down an app for people who only cache around cell towers. They finally put back list (PQ) downloads, and I like that it indicates when there is a PQ update and allows an immediate refresh, but without downloadable maps, the cell tower leash is still required. Plus. With the map or compass always active, lets all count on having battery when we need to make an actual phone call. Ill grant that the route-mapping feature is nice -- but again only with the cell tower leash attached.

The old app has such better functionality, and the new app puts everything behind a pay wall. Awful. So glad I still have the old one.

After using the free version, I have a hard time, and will not pay to use this app.
